Job Description | 1. Oversees the entire activities of quality assurance department and ensures implementation of quality standards, procedures, processes, and programs are efficient and accurate; 2. Responsible for ad hoc audit activities to ensure proper protocol are performed and observed specifically on product process, environment, sanitation, quality assurance, housekeeping, health, and safety procedures and hazards; 3. Supervises product testing, product analysis, product safety and sanitation, product date coding and ensures accuracy, completeness, and consistency are maintained; 4. Coordinates closely with other departments to ensure personnel safety guidelines, quality and food safety practices are strictly followed and observed; 5. Responsible for resolving quality problems, plant facilities, warehouse, employees issues and concerns and recommends corrective action plans; 6. Checks and ensures all products produced are compliance with standard quality and product process are consistently meets all regulatory quality standards; 7. Monitors in – line processes and ensures compliance in standard specifications; 8. Prepares documentation, reports, and presentations on quality assurance and ensures submission are on time and assists in documentation control and recommends strategies for improvement; 9. Handles records and monitors customer complaints, queries, and compliments regarding product performance, specifications, cost, and reliability for product innovation to meet customer requirements and specifications; 10. Participates in investigation regarding customer complaints, reject product incidents and recommends timely resolution to minimize such activities; 11. Conducts food safety seminars, good manufacturing practices and safety standards as may be directed by immediate superior; 12. Responsible for product quality control and monitors daily usage based on production output which requires product formula; 13. Assists on developing and implementing programs and protocols for quality and food safety assessment; 14. Assists on developing quality assurance and product development policies and procedures to enhance operational performance and productivity in day to day activities; 15. Support in product recalls when product fails and performs spot audit to materials, procedures and process to identify causes; 16. Supervises and trains staff in performing their respective duties and responsibilities; 17. Executes personnel policies and disciplinary actions among his/her subordinates; 18. Performs related tasks as may be assigned from time to time. |
Job Qualifications | 1. A graduate of food technology or science, chemistry, or any related courses;
2. Preferably with at least two (2) years’ experience as a quality assurance supervisor in a manufacturing or food industry or equivalent professional practice; 3. Proficient in basic computer programs (word processing, spreadsheets and presentation software and internet navigation and email); 4. Excellent in written and communication skills; 5. Excellent decision making, problem solving, and analytical skills; 6. Highly organized and has an eye for detail; 7. Self-motivated and hardworking; 8. Positive personal values and strong work ethic. |
