Uraya Land Development, Inc. was established on March 8, 1994, the primary purpose of which is to acquire properties by purchase, lease, donation and to own, use, improve, develop, subdivide, sell, lease, mortgage, exchange, and hold for investment real estate of all kinds.

Established to be the flagship of the URAYA GROUP OF COMPANIES, its main thrust is the development of suburban communities to meet the housing needs of today’s growing population.

It has an authorized capital stock of P50 million and paid-up capital of P50 million. As of the year 2014, its total assets stood at P1.018 billion, while total equity and retained earnings amounted to P223.51 million.

Its pilot project was undertaken in a 14-hectare subdivision lot in Mankilam, Tagum City. Known as Capitol Homes Subdivision, it has a total of 749 housing units, and was developed for the lower middle-income group of Davao del Norte’s biggest population sector.

Its second project, Elenita Heights Subdivision, is situated in Catalunan Grande, Davao City. It sits on a 50-hectare property with a total of 1,196 housing units and ‘lots only’ for Phase I and 1,014 housing units and ‘lots only’ for Phase II, and an additional 49 lots for Phase II altered portion. In the latter part of 2007, it developed and opened for sale its Elenita Heights Garden Villas, which involved an 8.2-hectare property for an additional 310 lots and housing units. To date, all lots have been sold out. At present, it is in its final stages of development in the fourth phase of its Elenita Heights Subdivision project, which is called Elenita Heights Park Villas. This five-hectare property, with 220 lots and housing units, is almost sold out. Recently, another adjacent two-hectare property called Elenita Heights Park Villas 2, with a total of of 117 saleable lots was launched and is selling fast due to its quality and affordability. Still pending in the pipeline is another five-hectare property adjacent to Elenita Heights, which we plan to launch within the year.

Uraya Land is also involved in the development of an 80-hectare property in Toril, Davao City. It was first granted a License to Sell for its initial phase involving 14.095 hectares on November 16, 2004, with 396 lots available for sale. On February 9, 2007, the License to Sell for its Phase II was granted involving the development of 17.79 hectares, with 316 lots for sale. Of these, 356 lots and 285 lots have already been sold in Phase I and Phase II, respectively as of June 30, 2014. The Licenses to Sell for its Phases III and V was released on May 8, 2009, where an additional area of 28.5 hectares is currently being developed. For these phases, 681 lots are available for sale. As of March 31, 2015, a total of 493 lots in Phases III and V have been sold.

This year, the Company plans to launch a luxury condominium atop the hills of Toril. This medium rise condominium will be the first of its kind since most condominiums are located in the downtown area. It will offer its residents resort-style living in the hills with panoramic views of the surrounding landscape as its backdrop.

Currently, the Company is also developing its high-end memorial park in Butuan City under the name, Butuan Garden Memorial Estate. This involves the development of a five-hectare property for its Phase I and another five hectares for its Phase II. Presently being developed is its Phase II. It is the first premier memorial park in the area.

Also in the pipeline is a 4-hectare subdivision project in Butuan City, which is being considered for development, as the growth in the Caraga region will entail a bigger demand for housing in the said area. Additionally, in the planning stage is the development of a condotel in Villa de Mercedes and a multi-building, mix-use project in a 16-hectare property in Samal City.

At present, Uraya Land Development, Inc. is processing its permits for Uraya Residences, a 38.8-hectare property in Catalunan Grande. This mid-cost subdivision project is expected to be launched in the third quarter of 2015.

The Company has only been in the real estate business for 21 years but it has already made its mark in the industry. For four consecutive years, from 2003 to 2006, it has been awarded by the Shoppers’ Choice Award as the Best Low Cost Housing Developer in Davao City. In 2005, it was also awarded the Most Outstanding Low Cost Housing Developer by the Philippine Marketing Excellence Award. During the same year and up to 2006, it was also a recipient of an award from the National Product Quality Excellence Award as the Best Low Cost Housing Provider in Davao City. The Housing and Land Use Regulatory Body (HLURB) has also recognized its exemplary performance when it awarded the company in May 2007 the Leading Developer for Economic Housing in Region XI.

In the years to come, Uraya Land will continue to pursue its objective of land and housing development and meet its commitment of providing more lifestyle-enhancing products to more people in Davao City and in some parts of Mindanao.
